What's Shiny (and Sticky) Today
-
The A's have won seven in a row now. Yeah, so the last three were against the Brewers -- the way this season's been going I'll take what I can get.
(And I'm still not holding my breath waiting for the UPS guy to bring me 2002 playoff tickets.)
- The University of Georgia has decided to shame people into graduating in four years by referring to students as "first-years," "second-years," etc. Oh, and they're also talking about taking away parking privileges and football ticket rights for "fifth-years" and above. My fellow fifth-years at Little Hippie U. wouldn't have given a rat's ass about the football, but taking away parking?
That's just cold, man.
- That story about Congress getting bad ideas from baseball owners that I found shiny last week? If this article is to be believed, some people in Beijing actually believed it was true.

I made this today, and while next time I'd cut the sugar back from 1/3 to 1/4 of a cup (or maybe even less), it was goooood. Turned my pot purple though.
