Unclear on the Concept
Most egregious overapplication of political correctness: I was scoping out a new-to-me supermarket near El Suburb and, as supermarkets tend to do, they were playing God-awful muzak interspersed with descriptions of their latest specials.
Among this week's specials is a "juicy, spiral-cut ham" that makes a "great family tradition for the holidays." Since they can't possibly be talking about Good Friday, they must mean to include Passover in "holidays," plural. And you know nothing makes a Passover meal like a nice, big ham.
