The Real Threat To Our Communities
Congress should get to work on a constitutional amendment that will improve everyone's quality of life, not just Christian fundamentalists who worry that gay marriage will somehow degrade the quality of their own. What would really mend our sad, morally bankrupt nation would be a constitutional ban on streets named "Lois Lane."
According to my 1999 Thomas Brothers', there are four of them in the parts of the Bay Area it covers. That doesn't even include some of the scarier, more twee suburbs in outer CoCo and Solano County, let alone anything built in the past five years. Hiddenbrooke, which, while no longer billing itself as "A Thomas Kinkade-Inspired Community, undoubtedly has a Lois Lane.
Go grab a map and find out how this scourge has hurt your community. Then get on the horn to your Congressperson and demand action. After all, do you want Our Children to grow up thinking that kind of lifestyle is acceptable?
