Double-Entry Bookkeeping
When my dad was a junior accountant, he told us over lunch after our Christmas tree hunting trip, he and his junior accountant colleagues were instructed to spend their down time catching up on the latest thrilling reads in the accounting journals. Naturally, this being the late 60s and the accountants being largely male, a lot of his colleagues had girlie magazines hidden inside the journals.
"Whoah, check out the amortization tables on that one!" I said.
"I'd sure like to do some double-entry bookkeeping with her," TheBoy leered.
And then Dad blushed. Blushed!
Sometimes we really are 12. But high five!
